Navman S30: Appearance
part of our review of the Navman S30 on Tuesday 20th May 2008
The Navman S30 is an entry level budget sat nav system. It doesn't hide this fact in any way - the screen is only 3.5 inches wide, there are no advanced features and the mapping is fairly basic.
But before you disregard this completely, it is ideal if you are looking for a cheap sat nav system from a well known and reputable brand. The S30 competes directly with the TomTom One GB. They both use Tele Atlas mapping but the S30 is cheaper and comes with a carry case as standard.
Despite the compact nature of this system, it does everything an entry level system should do. It can get you from A to B without all the bells and whistles of the models higher up in the range (S50, S70 and S90). Because of this, the price is extremely competitive as you can see at the bottom of this screen.
