Navman S30: Screen Photographs

part of our review of the Navman S30 on Tuesday 20th May 2008

When you first power up the Navman S30 you are presented with a loading screen (below) and a safety agreement that you have to accept to continue using the product.

Navman S30 Welcome Screen

Entering a postcode is a breeze though because of the small screen, if you have chubby fingers you may strugle. We would have liked to see a stylus embeded into the product for those who cannot get to grips with the keyboard size.

The Point of Interest (POI) file seems to be comprehensive though it did seem a bit empty in places. For example, under shops you will find just one chain of car product shops. Not that good when we were looking for a Tesco supermarket in the road test.

A nice feature, however, is the logos that appear on the map. We liked the golden arches logo for McDonalds that briefly appeared as we drove past.
