Navman N40: Windscreen Mount
part of our review of the Navman N40 on Friday 23rd May 2008
The screen mount supplied with the N40i is chunky but is very practical and robust. The N40 clicks into place via a spring loaded switch. Simply depress the switch and the N40i pops out of it's lock and is free for you to remove.
The mount features a ball-and-socket joint so it's very easy to move the system into a position that suits your needs.
Better still, the mount features a locking lever to ensure a firm grip to the windscreen. It's so effective it even managed to stick firmly to the cardboard box it comes in! (Don't ask what made us thought of trying this! Nevertheless, the fact it sticks to cardboard is a testament to it's strength of suction).
