Navman N40: Screen Photographs
part of our review of the Navman N40 on Friday 23rd May 2008
The Navman N40 has an easy to use and simple to understand main menu.

Planning a route is very easy with the N40i. Simply press the respective Quick Access button and you'll be presented with the route planning menu.

Below is the result when we pressed the Fuel quick access button. A list of nearby petrol stations appeared, with the closest at the top of the list.

The screen below is the NavPix section of the Navman N40. Having a camera on a sat nav system may at first seem a daft idea, it can be really beneficial. We would probably not use it on a day-to-day basis but where it would really come into it's element is if you had an accident where you needed pictures for insurance purposes. Not everyone has a camera on their mobile phone. Not all camera phone pictures are detailed enough. The Navman N40i could therefore be labelled as an essential part of day-to-day driving.
The camera is simple to use and is very similar to a standard camera in that respect. Simply point the camera at the object and press the shutter button located next to the on/off button on the top of the system. That's it!
