Tomtom Go 920 Traffic: Windscreen Mount
part of our review of the Tomtom Go 920 Traffic on Wednesday 11th June 2008
The screen mount consists f a press-on sucker pad and a ball and socket joint.
The sucker pad affixes to your windscreen simply by pressing on it. We would like to see TomTom re-evaluate this and trial a locking device that helps to firmly affix the mount to the windscreen without you feeling like you are going to push it through the windscreen.
The ball and socket joint allows you to position the system how you want. It was quite stiff to manoeuvre. The 520 Traffic exhibited the same symptom though we disregarded that simply because it was new. However, given the condition of the box, this particular model has been used significantly and still exhibits the symptom. Therefore, we would like to suggest that this was modified by TomTom to allow easier movement.
