Binatone Carrera X350 Uk: Appearance
part of our review of the Binatone Carrera X350 Uk on Wednesday 18th June 2008
The X350 UK is a compact system ideal for first time users. The screen is typical for the entry level market though Binatone have inclded a stylus making it a breeze to navigate the menu options.
The screen has been well designed to fit as much in as possible though perhaps the menu and back buttons could be shortened allowing for more information to be displayed in the side such as displaying both the current time and the estimated time of arrival, rather than just one or the other.

The build quality of the Binatone Carrera X350 UK is excellent. It is a light system so you won't notice it when you carry it about. The exterior of the product is clean and crisp, with just one external button and some sockets for various cables. One point worth mentioning is that the cable connectors are on the right hand side of the product which means you have to wrap the power cable around the back of the system if your mount is in the middle of the windscreen. If you don't the power cable could interfere with your driving equipment (for example the cable could become entangled around your indicator or headlight stalk).
The simple remedy for this is for Binatone to flip the internal components around - though we suspect it's not as easy as this! It would be nice to see the cable connectors either on the bottom of the system or to the left.
Other than that, a good all-round performer.
